Chris and his chicks

So while we are all enjoying the very hot summer. Chris my son has 11 chickens and 5 brand new chicks that hatched this year. It was hot that day he was only wearing his shorts. During this time I thought I take the opportunity to take some pictures of the chicks and my son was holding one of them. 

I use the 70 mm prime lens for this and the natural lighting was just perfect. Looking back on the computer I felt blown away with my pictures. So I figured I share my little private moment with my son and the chickens. 

Now only two of the chickens has been mothering and protecting the five chicks. So I am hoping to take more pictures and maybe make some cute little video of the chicks!
